It was early afternoon when we arrived at Arches National Park. The park lies atop an underground salt bed that is basically guilty for the arches, spires, sandstone fins, and eroded monoliths of this sightseer’s mecca. Water, ice, and extreme temperatures are additionally to blame for the awesome sculpted rock scenery.
As we were relishing our hiking and exploration, sunlight became our nemesis. We really wanted to see the famous Delicate Arch before we traveled to our hotel in the town of Moab. Therefore, when we arrived at the trailhead, we jogged. The stress from our limited time here became an issue. However, we made it to our destination just prior to sunset. We walked back to the car in the dark with flashlights to help us.
