Harry Hampton Visitor Center: Start your journey at the Harry Hampton Visitor Center, where informative exhibits and ranger-led programs provide insight into the park’s natural and cultural history. Pick up a Junior Ranger activity booklet for the kids and embark on a quest to become official park stewards.

Oakridge Trail: Follow the Oakridge Trail through dense forests and open meadows, where you can see a variety of plant and animal species. Keep an eye out for white-tailed deer, raccoons, and the occasional wild turkey.

Bluff Trail: Explore the Bluff Trail for stunning views of the Congaree River and surrounding floodplain. Watch as the sunlight filters through the canopy, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor.

Bald Cypress Trail: Wander through a grove of ancient bald cypress trees on the Bald Cypress Trail, where you can marvel at the towering trunks and sprawling roots of these majestic giants.

Junior Ranger Program: Engage the whole family in Congaree’s Junior Ranger Program, where kids can learn about forest ecology, conservation, and stewardship through fun and interactive activities. Upon completion, they’ll receive a badge and a sense of pride in protecting this unique wilderness area.
