Cuyahoga Valley

Canceled September 3, 2011

The American Indians named this place after the crooked river and in 2000 Cuyahoga Valley became a National Park. Nestled 30 miles south of Cleveland, Ohio, we made it park of our Labor Day extended weekend destination.

We began our escapade by taking several scenic hikes. The Everett Road Covered Bridge was heartwarming. The Ice Box Cave was cool and cold. The highlight of the park for us was cooling off under Brandywine Falls.
