We took advantage of our winter holiday vacation to drive to south Florida. The Everglades National Park is the largest sub topical wilderness in the world. It is a place where the tall grass, slow moving water, and abundance of wildlife create a metropolis of sustenance. We were astonished of the amount of alligators and birds. They were everywhere.
It was weird standing so close to an alligator. They barely move. They just lay there. Hikes we intimidating since we did not know if we would stubble across one. However, we did hike, but we very careful and on high alert. Also, we treated ourselves to an airboat ride.
We went back to the Everglades “River of Grass” in December 2012 to film our video and take more pictures. The wildlife was once again alive everywhere.
