Glacier

Glacier National Park in Montana is one Alisa and Bill’s favorite parks. The mountains are spectacular and the 50 mile Going-to-the-Sun Road is packed with views unmatched in America. It was our second of seven parks on our summer vacation. We could have spent all of it here.

When we arrived the temperature was an uncommon 80 degrees. It was so warm and superb, after we hiked, we swam in Lake McDonald. The stunning hike near Many Glacier was highlighted by a Grizzly Bear grazing near us. The crystal turquoise glacier lakes were exquisite to gaze at.

Since our hotel was outside of the park next to a railroad track, we spent as much time as possible in this remarkable park. One of our favorite things to do after hiking several miles was relaxing inside the magnificent park lodges. The lobby fireplace was soothing and the ambiance was luxurious.
